I’m John Henry. My family and I have lived in Norfolk, MA since 2012. I’m a locksmith by trade and am pursuing knife and tool sharpening as a side business. Norfolk Sharpening is just me, working out of the shop in my garage. I sharpen nights and weekends when I’m not hanging out with my family or working the day job.

I have always loved working with my hands. I’ve been sharpening as a craft for some time now. I enjoy the process, especially the precision in the work.

Knives are sharpened using a combination of a custom variable speed 1×30 belt sander, the Work Sharp system, and Tormek T-8 with CBN wheels. Edges are further refined on a paper wheel, flap leather wheel, and felt belt to remove any remaining burr, with the last step being a hand strop on leather.

With roadside drop-off and pickup, excellent friendly service, and a great low price, this local business is the best there is for sharpening.
