Scissors with stories

Just finished sharpening some interesting scissors today.
The first one came from a customer that received them 34 years ago when he started work as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines. He used them for fiberglass repairs.

The second photo is of a classic Griffon shear. The Griffon Cutlery Works was founded in 1888 by Albert L. Silberstein. Located in Manhattan, they manufactured razors and a great many types of scissors, including pinking shears, nippers and manicure sets, as well as “Ladies’ Button Hole” scissors.
